The first ever City of Great Bend Art & Wine Walk will be taking place downtown on May 1st. The City is partnering with participating businesses, local & regional artists and the Rotary Club to host an event that will be fun for all! So we invite you to stroll through downtown Great Bend, view artwork, and enjoy samples of wine or other refreshments. Most locations will have artwork that is part of a silent auction where proceeds will go to benefit the Tot Spot, a playground being built by the Barton County Young Professionals and the Great Bend Rotary Club.
The Great Bend Art & Wine Walk begins at 4 p.m. at any of the participating locations. This is a free event but participants must be 21 years of age to sample the different refreshments. Maps will be created and shared through the Explore Great Bend Facebook event, but will also available at any of the participating locations downtown, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, and City of Great Bend offices.
Following the Art & Wine walk, the public is invited to purchase tickets for a catered meal and entertainment with tastings at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. To find out more about tickets or the Great Bend Art & Wine walk, contact the City Community Coordinator, Christina Hayes at 620-793-4111 or chayes@greatbendks.net.
