The "Runners of Barton County" group and First Assembly of God are teaming up to host a Benefit 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 4th at 7 a.m. The race will begin and end at Brit Spaugh Park on North Main in Great Bend.
The event will benefit Royal Family Kids Camp, a summer camp for abused or neglected foster children in Kansas. The goal is to raise enough money to send at least 30 local children to the camp this summer.
Pre-registration is $25 which includes a t-shirt and must be received by March 25, 2015 to be guaranteed.
Race day registration is $30 per person and will begin at 6 a.m. in Brit Spaugh Park east of the swimming pool. There is also an option to pick up race packets on Friday, April 3rd at First Assembly of God, 601 Patton, from 5-7 p.m.
