Discover the many Gifts your flower garden provides, from edible treats to decorative items, during the Kansas Wetlands Education Center's adult class series, "Gifts from the Garden" held throughout the summer months. Second in the series: Another old custom, pressing flowers is the subject of the July 16th class, from 2 to 4 pm. Roam the KWEC's garden and prairie to gather and press your own flowers, utilizing the tried-and-true method and a new, faster method. Create your own pressed flower card/picture, applying previously pressed flowers from the KWEC garden. Register by July 10, for this free class, by calling KWEC at 1-877-243-9268.
