Great Bend Alive Window Decorating Contest

Get into the holiday spirit and help light up downtown Great Bend! Great Bend Alive is now accepting applications for the annual Downtown Window Decorating Contest, celebrating creativity, community, and Christmas cheer.

Businesses and independent decorators are invited to transform downtown windows into festive displays. Don’t have a downtown storefront? No problem — you can sign up to decorate a vacant window (availability is limited).

Important Dates:

• Application Deadline: Saturday, November 8, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.

• Judging Period: November 21–29, 2025

• Displays Must Be Up By: Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Prizes:

• 🥇 1st Place (Judges’ Choice): $1,500

• 🥈 2nd Place (Judges’ Choice): $1,000

• 💜 People’s Choice Award: $500

Judging will be completed by an outside panel, and community members will also get to vote for the People’s Choice Award. Windows will be judged on originality, workmanship, presentation, and creative use of lights.

Entry is free! This is a wonderful way to promote your business, attract visitors downtown, and spread some holiday joy.
