On Saturday, October 24th, Great Bend area residents are invited to take part in a number of Halloween activities. Starting at 11 a.m. with the Kiwanis Halloween Parade in Jack Kilby Square, the entire day will be full of family fun! Bring the kids downtown to walk in the parade to show off their costumes. The parade is co-sponsored by Sunflower Diversified Services.
After the parade, meet at the bandshell in the square for a children's show, put on by award winning artist Randy Sauer. The show includes traditional kids music to rock n' roll, to acoustic, and upbeat pop dance music with energy, audience participation and fun activities for all ages in the audience.
The fun doesn't stop there! From 1-5 p.m., Walgreens will be providing free spooky pictures at their 10th & McKinley location.
Be sure to head to Brit Spaugh Park & Zoo between 6 and 8 p.m. that evening to take part in Zoo Boo, an event where dozens of businesses and organizations give out candy to costumed children.
And for the adults, be sure to check out the Dueling Pianos fundraiser happening from 6-10 p.m. at the Great Bend Events Center, raising money for the Argonne All-Star Cheer program!
