YP5K & Half Marathon
Name: YP5K & Half MarathonDate: October 15, 2016Time: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM CDTEvent Description:The Barton County Young Professionals group would like to invite the public to participate in the first ever YP5K and Half Marathon (#YP5K on social media) taking place Saturday, October 15th in Great Bend. The race will start and finish at Jack Kilby Square in Downtown Great Bend. Participants can elect to run or walk the 5k course or take on the more challenging half marathon course.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
6 a.m. Registration Opens
7 a.m. Half Marathon Shotgun Start
8 a.m. 5K Shotgun Start
9 a.m. Family Fun Zone Opens
11 a.m. Award Ceremony
Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in five age groups for each event (18 and Under, 19 to 25, 26 to 35, 36 to 49, 50 and Over). All half marathon finishers will receive a medal.
Between the race events, there will be a Family Fun Zone with activities for the entire family, even if you did not participate in the 5k or half marathon. Join us in the park for food, friends, and summer fun!
Cost is $35 per 5k participant or $70 per half marathon participant.
